American Folk Festival’s Second Annual Color Bangor

Guest post by Kaitlin Patnode

American Folk Festival’s annual fun run is back with flying colors… Literally! Color Bangor is back again for a second year, and it’s going to be exciting. Registration is now open, and with the amount of participation from the community last year, including the hosts at Color Village as well as the Bangor Police Department, it’s guaranteed to be a great time. About 1,700 people participated last year and gave the Greater Bangor community the opportunity to join together for a load of family-friendly fun. If that’s not enough to get your own family excited, brace yourselves. This year Color Bangor is aiming to make the event more kid-friendly!

While there are several different “color runs” that occur both in and out of the area, Color Bangor is community driven. As awesome as this is, it even gets better. 100 percent of proceeds for Color Bangor go toward making the American Folk Festival even cooler than it already is. Who doesn’t want that?

As registration has just opened, early registration pricing is in effect. Until March 16th it is $25 for children, $35 for individuals 13 and older, and $33 per person for teams of eight or more! Pricing increases on March 17th so register now!

You can go register online at colorbangor.americanfolkfestival.com or by calling 992-2630. Also, follow American Folk Festival on Facebook for updates. Hope to see you there!
